Understanding Pet Weight and Size Scaling
In Roblox Grow a Garden, hatching a rare pet is a thrilling achievement. However, the true value of your companion is governed by a hidden stat: **Hatch Weight**. When a pet is generated, its weight at Level 1 dictates its size class. Size classes are critical because they multiply the effectiveness of the pet's active abilities (like speed boosts or coin modifiers). Furthermore, size classes determine how highly coveted a pet is in the trading markets. A Godly-sized pet can trade for ten times the sheckles of a Normal-sized pet of the exact same type!
How Pet Weight is Calculated
As a pet levels up (by feeding it crops or playing), its weight increases in a predictable linear trajectory. The community uses the official growth formula to model this scaling:
W = (Wh / 11) × (A + 10)
Where **W** represents the current pet weight, **Wh** represents the hatch weight at level 1, and **A** represents the pet's current level (age) from 1 to 100. This formula demonstrates that a pet's current weight is a direct linear projection of its hatch weight. As a result, even at level 100, a pet hatched with a high initial weight will be significantly heavier and more powerful than one hatched with a lower weight.
Classification Tiers
The size tier is determined strictly by the initial **hatch weight** at Level 1:
- Normal Size (< 5.0 KG): Standard multipliers and standard size. Common and easy to obtain.
- Huge Size (5.0 KG – 6.99 KG): 1.5x active ability multiplier. Noticeably larger footprint.
- Titanic Size (7.0 KG – 8.99 KG): 2.5x active ability multiplier. Very large companion.
- Godly Size (≥ 9.0 KG): 5.0x active ability multiplier. The absolute peak size tier, with massive models and glowing trading demand.
